Agua Azul means ‘Blue Water Falls’ in Spanish. It’s a series of cascading waterfalls that last for hundreds and hundreds of meters. The water is so rich in minerals that the rocks and trees that fall into the water end up covered in a layer of limestone. We stopped along our way to Palanque to check them out. I didn’t have my swimmers on me but you can swim in the cool blue waters. This photo is taken at the bottom of the falls before it opens out into a larger body of water.
