Greece is known for its popular tourist destinations. The Plain of Thessaly in the mainland of Greece, one can find groups of vertical rock formation up to 300-meters high. The stone formation is weathered by erosions. There are several monasteries perched on these rocks, which are named as Meteora Monastiria. These monasteries are accessible by winches and ladders. This Monastery is located one-kilometre from the village of Kastraki. It can be approached from a steep hill and then steps. It was founded in year 1368 and then was enlarged in the year 1628. The place is much loved for fresco, which is painted by Cretan artist Theophanes in the year 1527.
